I don’t usually photograph concerts very often—unless they draw me into a space of almost ecstatic energy, as happened in the end of May at Berlin’s Olympiastadion. I can hardly remember another evening that absorbed me so completely. Pure surrender. That night, the religion was Metallica . An extraordinary experience. My thanks to the wild crowd around me. The moment is everything.
