A photographic essay

Jan Frodeno is the best triathlete in the world. He has won everything there is to win in the world of triathlon - he is an Olympic champion, three-time Ironman Hawaii champion and has broken world records. For seven years, I accompanied the exceptional athlete at his most impportant races. I photographed Frodeno´s victories, defeats and comebacks - and his retirement from professional sport in 2023. The result is an outstanding long - term observation that tells of the fascination of Hawaii and of an athlete´s unconditional dedication to sport and life.
